Data Deletion
This page explains how to request deletion of your data from DOR6, as described in the DOR6 Privacy Policy (sections 16 and 17).
Ways to request deletion
You may request deletion of your data from DOR6 in any of the following ways:
- Use available Account or Settings controls. Signed-in users can go to Settings to review account information and manage the options below.
- Disconnect a connected Social Account. From Social Connections, click Disconnect next to any connected TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube account. This revokes DOR6's access and stops DOR6 from accessing that account's data going forward.
- Delete a Topic, where supported. Open a Topic and use Delete Topic on its dashboard. Deleting a Topic removes it from active use; some historical content and analytics may remain available for viewing per the retention rules in our Privacy Policy.
- Delete your DOR6 account, where supported. From Settings → Danger Zone, confirm your password to permanently delete your account. This revokes every connected Social Account and archives your Topics. Certain records (billing, Credit-ledger, and audit history) are retained afterward as described in the Privacy Policy's retention rules, even though your account itself is deactivated and personal fields are removed.
- Contact privacy@dor6.com. Email us directly with your request. We may need to verify your identity before processing it.
What deletion from DOR6 does not do
Deletion from DOR6 does not necessarily delete data from an external social-media platform. If you want content removed from TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or another platform, you may also need to delete it directly from that platform, using that platform's own tools or a TikTok/Meta/Google-authorized application capable of deleting that data.
Meta (Facebook / Instagram) data deletion requests
Where Meta sends DOR6 an authorized data-deletion request relating to a user — for example, when a user removes the DOR6 app from their Facebook or Instagram settings — DOR6 processes that request automatically and logs it for our records. You do not need to take any additional action in DOR6 for a deletion initiated this way, though disconnecting the account directly in DOR6 (above) has the same effect and is available to you at any time.
Retention that applies even after deletion
As described in the Privacy Policy, DOR6 may retain certain financial and Credit ledger records for accounting, fraud-prevention, audit, tax, and legal requirements even after account deletion, and may retain information otherwise required by law. See Privacy Policy — Data Retention for the complete list.
